The MacDill Officers’ Spouses’ Club (MOSC) will is offering scholarships to military dependents and spouses to be awarded for the 2012-2013 School Year.

Eligibility: Applicants for a scholarship must meet all of the following requirements:
1. Applicant’s primary residence must be within the Tampa Bay area. The Tampa Bay area is defined as in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee, and Polk counties. Graduating seniors must attend school in one of these counties to qualify, including homeschooled students.
2. Applicant must be a dependent family member of:
a. an active duty member of the uniformed services, or
b. a retired from active duty member, or
c. a deceased military member who was on active duty or was a retired from active duty member at the time of his/her death.
3. The applicant must be a graduating high school senior during the 2011-12 school-year, or a military spouse enrolling in post secondary school.
4. The applicant must plan to attend an accredited college, university or vocational school in the USA on a full-time basis, as defined by the individual school. A military spouse may attend on a part time basis.
5. Any applicant who receives another scholarship paying the full cost of tuition and fees (known as a full-ride scholarship) is ineligible for a MOSC scholarship.
6. Any applicant who receives an appointment to a United States service academy or an academy preparatory school is ineligible for a MOSC scholarship.
7. The applicant must possess a current uniformed service identification card at the time of application.
Application information and forms will also be available at the Airman and Family Readiness Center on MacDill and at the MacDill Family Resource Center in Brandon after February 15th.
