It should also be noted that unless otherwise stated, the majority of the news on the home page applies to IB students as well.

One of our juniors, Chandler Duggar, was selected to represent Haines City High IB for the Congressional Classroom Program sponsored by Rep. Adam Putnam.
She will spend March 2nd - 6th in Washington touring Arlington Cemetery, the Capitol, the Supreme Court, Kennedy Center and museums.
The following student's work was accepted into the Young Artist's Show at the Ridge Gallery:

Librado also won an Award of Excellence and Richelle won an Honorable Mention! The show is up from March 4th - 29th and the reception is March 7th at 7pm.

The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
curriculum
- The International Baccalaureate Program is a rigorous pre-university course of studies, leading to examinations that meet the needs of highly motivated students in grades 11 and 12. Designed as a comprehensive two year curriculum that allows graduates to fulfill requirements of various national education systems.
- Diploma candidates are required to select from each of the six subject groups. At least three and not more than four are taken at the higher level (HL), the others at the standard level (SL). HL courses represent 240 teaching hours, SL courses cover 150 hours. By arranging work in this fashion, students are able to explore some subjects in depth and some more broadly.
- We offer a Pre-IB program for 9th and 10th grade students. This preparation program readies students for the rigorous demands of the diploma program.
